When Janel was in middle school in Michigan, her mom opened her first salon.  Having spent every possible moment there, she new she was going to have a future in the beauty industry.

” I loved going to the salon with her, it was always so much fun.  People laughing and having a good time, I loved the environment.”

When she moved to Florida, and when it was time for her to get her first job, she began working as a shampoo girl/receptionist at the salon her mom (a Davines educator at the time) was working for at the time.  Eventually, at the age of 26 she decided to go for her dream job and began education at the cosmetology school at Lorenzo Walker Technical College.

“I finally pursued my passion of hair.  I learned about Davines and Salon Mulberry through my mother.”

Janel’s mother had a Davines salon and used the product and color line, which is where Janel learned about the product and fell in love with the Davines as a company; their mission, products, and their passion for the industry and the environment.  “When I met Kerry and learned she has a love for Davines and the salon industry, I knew this was the salon I wanted to work in. I’ve been doing hair for about 4 years now and working at Salon Mulberry for a year and a half and couldn’t be happier knowing that I chose right.
